Michael and Allison (Kirk) Rehn, BA 2010 and JD 2013, of Harriman, TN welcomed their first child on April 18, 2018. Their daughter, Astrid June, was born a healthy little girl at 6 lbs, 8 oz and 19 inches long.

Brittany Goins accepted an offer to teach 2nd and 3rd grade at a private school in Knoxville, TN. The school is a small private K-3rd grade school. Brittany joins two other teachers as a team to teach those grades. She is very excited and happy about her first year Dept. of Educ. teaching position! She is using the Abeka curriculum and teaching math, reading, phonics, language, cursive writing, and science/history. Her school also has special class such as Bible, art, and Spanish. Her classroom is woodland creature themed. She plays classical music for the children to experience while working.

My wife of 67 years, Janis Bolton Drinnon, passed away 2-24-16. We first met on the LMU Campus in December 1947. She was a part-time student. Janis used her writing talent to write Poetry and became a published author of her poetry book, He IS Real.
William Brown has been promoted to the Director of Student Services with Milan Area Schools. This is a central office position that encompasses special education, title 1, and at risk services.

Dr. Heather Reed-Day (2002) graduated from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center with her Doctorate of Medicine on May 27, 2011. She and her husband, Nathan Day (2001), are relocating to Charlottesville, VA for Heather to begin a residency in emergency medicine. Nathan has completed a one year position as Assistant Professor of Special Education with the University of Memphis and will return to teaching middle school mathematics in the coming school year.
